Meet the Technology Team

The Technology Team of CWIB is responsible for all things digital. From the website to the pictures, the ladies of the Technology Team work really hard to run this side of the organization.

Kinsey Donovan

Chief Technology Officer

Description: The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for making sure that all the technological aspects of CWIB are running efficiently and effectively. This role also requires you to collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer to maintain the club's website and listserv.

Empower: Throughout her time as Chief Technology Officer, Kinsey’s leadership skills have been pushed in ways they haven’t been pushed before. She adds on by admitting, “Since it is a C-Suite position, a lot of my role involves overseeing and delegating, something that I was not used to. I have learned to make sure I am understanding everything that is going on, as well as assigning tasks to positions under me.” Kinsey also learned to make sure that her officers are always feeling valued; she makes sure to always communicate with them and give them small projects during slow periods so they don’t feel useless.

Prepare: Kinsey’s role has allowed her to practice a couple of valuable technical skills. She shared that she regularly shifts through spreadsheets containing members’ information and she carried this skill over to her internship. In addition, Kinsey has spent a lot of time doing website design, whether she was playing around with it or creating new sections.

Connect: Kinsey explains that being Chief Technology Officer has allowed her to strengthen her interpersonal skills because “everything is inherently connected in CWIB.” She often communicates with the rest of the C-Suite leaders and the other officers in order to make sure everything is running smoothly. Kinsey also mentions that through this role, she got to know CWIB’s faculty advisor, Gina French, a lot more and describes her as “a great advisor and mentor who truly cares about her CWIB students.”

Andra Scaliti

VP of Technology

Description: The VP of Technology is responsible for assisting the Chief Technology Officer with various tasks. One of the projects that the VP of Technology is responsible for is putting together the bi-annual resume booklet that is given to CWIB's sponsors.

Empower: Andra affirms that she thinks that being VP of Technology has made her more “assertive, communicative and confident as a leader knowing younger members look up to [her]as an upperclassman and member of leadership.” She also finds it rewarding to see the impact that CWIB members have on the growth of the organization.

Prepare: Being VP of Technology has allowed Andra to spark conversation with professionals and impress recruiters, which helped her land her internship with Protiviti this summer! Her communicative, leadership and technical skills impress interviewers. Also, her experience with working with CWIB software and the website has helped her as a BIT major.

Connect: Andra says that she has gotten more open-minded in group projects and has become more confident in sharing her ideas. Also, the connections she has made in CWIB have allowed her to improve her professional network. She works alongside Kinsey, who allowed her to find mutual connections at Business Horizons. This made her realize that “all connections span your network and can serve as a career opportunity.”

Theresa Cordero

Co-Historian

Description: As a Historian, your main job is to take photographs of the club's events and members. After taking these pictures, they upload it to the leadership team drive. In addition, they collect material for promotional videos.

Empower: Being Co-Historian has allowed Theresa to grow as a leader because she learned how to take initiative when it comes to taking pictures and sharing them. As a result, she also states that in order to be successful in business, one must be “ organized and hardworking.”

Prepare: Theresa learned about a new tool during her time as Co-Historian: Google team drives. She admits that she was not very familiar with it prior to taking on this position, but after working with it over the school year, she now knows how to effectively utilize it.

Connect: Throughout this year, Theresa has improved her communication skills. As Co-Historian, she has had to stay in constant communication with the other Historians to coordinate who is bringing the camera to what event, who will upload pictures, and other tasks like those.

*There are currently 3 Co-Historians who work together.
